What this site is

CareFull Review brings together public records about nursing homes, adult care homes and family care homes, and explains them in plain English. It is information, not advice. It is not medical, legal or financial advice, and it is not a recommendation for or against any home.

Accuracy

We take the records from government sources — chiefly Medicare (CMS) and the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation — and show the date of each. Records can be incomplete, late, or wrong, and a home may have changed since. We read some documents automatically, and we may make mistakes. Before relying on anything here, check the linked government record, and visit the home. If you find an error, please tell us.

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it is complete, accurate or available at all times, and we are not liable for decisions made using it.

Using the site

You may read, print and share pages for personal use or to advise a client, with a link back to the page. Please don't copy the site wholesale, scrape it at a rate that slows it down, or present our pages as your own. Government records are public, and you're free to get them from their sources.

Alerts

Alerts aren't live yet. When they are, we'll do our best to send them promptly, but we depend on government sources that are sometimes late. Alerts don't replace your own contact with the home, and nothing in them means you must move your family member.

Emergencies

If someone is in danger now, call 911. To report abuse or neglect, contact the home's county Department of Social Services or the state complaint line shown on each home's page.

Changes
